About the Role:Line Manager : Beans Operations ManagerLocation : DoualaNo of positions : 01Type of contract : Full TimeThe Cocoa Beans Reception Responsible is responsible for managing the reception and validation of bush cocoa beans, ensuring that all incoming batches comply with established standards for quality, safety, and traceability. This role involves close coordination with suppliers, logistics teams, and quality control personnel to ensure that the reception process is executed efficiently and in full alignment with internal protocols and applicable regulatory requirements.Key responsibilities include:
Describe and organize procedures and work instructions specific from external parking to offloading beans process. Analyzed and manage dysfunctions.
Optimize cocoa trucks delivery flows upon arrival with efficient offloading process. Beans truck will stay maximum 48h between the external parking and end of offloading process
Supervise and follow up the weight bridge activities
Supervise and follow up the offloading platform activities
Follow up stocks activities for beans drying factory deliveries
Ensure beans meet Barry Callebaut quality standards
Confirm final purchase of bush beans and deliver final invoice (BO) to the suppliers
Follow up stocks activities for beans drying factory deliveries
Attend meetings relevant to his section (Team board, …)
Manage outsourced staff and follow up their performance at the offloading platform.
Ensure daily reporting on cocoa trucks delivery activities and Beans reception
Observe the quality and food safety regulations/requirements.
Ensure safety of people and equipment within her responsibility area according to formal delegation of authorities by the General Manager.
Participate in the improvement of the “Barry Callebaut Excellence“culture on our site by proposing and committing to specific improvement actions.
Ensure high level of housekeeping within beans storage infrastructures (roofs, walls, doors…). Perform regular inspections and follow-up repairs.
Perform any other duties or missions within or outside the department as required by the General Management.
Lead and follow continuous improvement project
About You:Required academic & technical qualifications
BTS/Diploma/ degree in Trade, Management, HSE or Logistics
3-years professional experience in cocoa activity/business.
Essential experience & knowledge
Knowledge of SAP
3-years professional experience in a similar position.
3 years' experience in activity related to beans
Food safety knowledge
Technical/Functional Competencies
Good knowledge of the field; good negotiation skills;
Knowledge of SAP
Computer literacy (Word, Excel);
B driver's license with a driving experience;
