Supervision: Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Advisor
Location: Yaoundé

Under the direct supervision of the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Advisor, the Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation&Learning (PMEL) Assistant will contribute to the development and improvement of tools, techniques, guidelines, and training materials for program development, monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and learning to advance results-based programming.Key tasks and responsibilities
- Contribute substantively and facilitate high-quality results; establish consolidated PMEL systems for the CCO and its projects.
- Support analytical and evaluative functions to ease inter-project coordination of reporting and monitoring formats, including developing unified reporting formats, frequency, and distribution schedules (monitoring and trends in overall PMEL program performance).
- Assist in identifying and providing terms of reference for internal and external evaluators to carry out specific technical and professional evaluations, in line with international standards of integrity and best practices.
- Support field projects in assisting local communities to identify and prioritize livelihood strategies, as well as developing and implementing criteria/protocols for monitoring and evaluating effective community and institutional engagement in integrated conservation and development activities at project sites, consistent with WWF global PMEL system result expectations.
- Assist in reviewing the quality of existing social and economic data in the project area, data collection methods, and their ability to provide good baseline statistics for impact assessment.
- Contribute to developing a capacity-building plan related to the project on PMEL and reporting, and organize and deliver trainings to stakeholders, including main stakeholders, on PMEL skills, including participatory aspects.
- Support follow-up visits and consultations reviewing progress every six months and provide guidance to ensure PMEL plans comply with WWF guidelines and policies.
- Assist in developing and/or revising existing project proposals.
- In collaboration with the M&E Advisor, review, produce, and disseminate technical documents for WWF-CCO and its projects.
Required qualifications
- At least a Bachelor's degree (BsC) in social sciences or a field related to development or conservation, or an equivalent education level.
- A minimum of two (02) years of similar experience.
- Strong analytical skills, including quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
- Conscientious, with excellent judgment.
- Excellent communication skills and team spirit.
- Regional and cultural knowledge and sensitivity.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, multitasking environment.
- Deep understanding of the cultural and social environment of the region and ability to live and work successfully in these settings.
- Willingness and ability to work effectively with very diverse people.
- Ability to work in a team and coordinate activities with other project members.
- Computer literacy and excellent organizational skills.

In collaboration with the M&E Advisor, work with all project/program managers and other technical staff on project development, PMEL, and socio-economic issues.External:
In collaboration with the M&E Advisor, work with all program partners (local communities, local NGOs, government - MINFOF, private sector, international NGOs, etc.) on data collection, provision, and analysis, as well as development and conservation matters.This job description reflects the key expected responsibilities and the spirit of tasks to be proactively accomplished.
