Intern who will support procurement and travelling operations.
Reports to: Senior Procurement & Purchasing Officer
Location: Yaounde
Duration: six (06) months renewableMajor Functions
Under the direct supervision of the Senior Procurement and Purchasing Officer (SPPO), the
incumbent will act as backup for office's logistics aspects and provide general logistics support to
the WWF CCO as follow.Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Supporting the purchasing process and organization of business trips:
- Collect and consolidate purchasing requirements from different departments.
- Draft and sending requests for quotations (RFQs), participating in the analysis of bids,
- Prepare purchase orders, track orders and follow up with suppliers if necessary.
- Support the receipt and verification of delivery compliance.
- Manage travel booking requests (airline tickets, hotels, transfers, visas).
- Support the logistical planning of internal and external events (seminars, workshops,
- Participate in the search for, selection and coordination with service providers (venues,
- Prepare logistical materials: participant lists, agendas, badges, supplies, etc.
- Manage the administrative aspects of events (quotes, purchase orders, contracts,
- Be present on site during the event for logistical coordination, if necessary.
- File and archive all documents related to purchases, contracts, invoices and travel files.
- Update order, payment, inventory and travel tracking tables.
- Assist in preparing files for internal/external audits or controls.
- Contribute to the management of supplier, travel provider and framework contract
- Participate in day-to-day inventory and delivery management, as well as periodic
- Support the team in preparing balance sheets and administrative reports (e.g., summary
- Propose areas for improvement in organization and administrative/logistics monitoring.
Required profile
- Higher education in logistics, management, purchasing, administration or a related field
- At least one year of professional experience in Administration/Logistics preferably in an
- Keen interest in purchasing management and travel logistics organization.
- Good written and oral communication skills (various internal/external contacts).
- Proficiency in Excel and office tools is essential; knowledge of ERP is appreciated.
- Fluency in French, English is an asset.
- Proficiency in basic IT tools (Excel, Word, etc.), knowledge of logistics management tools
- Excellent organizational and prioritization competence, with attention to detail.
- Proactive attitude and ability to take initiative and work independently,
- Excellent team player with good networking and interpersonal skills.
- Results oriented, deliver quality service and in a timely manner.
- Trustworthy: establishes a relation of trust with employees through openness, adherence
